Project Objectives

Trions Electrical was appointed as the principal contractor for the Visy project, tasked with the critical objective of successfully installing LFH (Low Fire Hazard) cables for a 30,000 square meter plant. This nomination underscores Trions Electrical's reputation and capability to manage complex electrical installations in large-scale industrial environments.

Challenges

Due to the presence of numerous machines within the plant, significant spatial constraints were encountered. These constraints rendered traditional cable installation methods impractical, as they necessitated the use of bulky cable jacks that were difficult to maneuver in such confined spaces. Consequently, this posed a substantial challenge for the project, requiring innovative solutions to ensure efficient and effective cable installation within the limited available space.

Nexans Solution

Trions Electrical, the principal cable contractor, addressed the challenges with the Nexans MOBIWAY UN’REEL drum – an innovative and smart solution for easy maneuverability and efficient cable installation in confined spaces. The selected solution not only ensured the successful installation of cables within the operational plant but it also achieved the project's outstanding completion.

Key project achievements:
 

• Successful cable installation in restricted spaces due to the ability to run cables without the need for bulky cable jacks.
• Immediate removal and disposal of empty drums by Nexans, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
• Single-person handling, reducing labor requirements.
